Caught Thomas performing this weekend at Universal Citywalk, and remembered why I love his records so much. His new EP, TNB, sounds amazing, including the single “My Generation”, which is also on the soundtrack for his new movie, released last Friday, American Reunion. So, just like I posted a year or so ago, I’m reminding you all to check out his music.

It’s cute that I think by scheduling a break, it’ll actually happen.
That being said, after tweaking the sides and sending out audition notices, I’m getting real excited to begin the casting sessions for my upcoming series. Hope to see a lot of talent in the room. Actors, show me what you got!

One of my favorite parts of working with New Filmmakers LA is getting a chance to see all of the shorts, documentaries, and features that they show in their programs. After viewing all of the films for December, I’m going to start recommending a couple that need to be checked out and requested in your area as soon as possible.

BROTHERLY LOVE was the stand out of the short film program. Directed by Choice Skinner, the film is about three brothers (Skinner, Farley Jackson, and Sheldon Smith) who “are confronted with a horrible act committed by the youngest due to the pressure of bullying from a local gang”. Selling people out here: but I heard sniffling from the sold-out crowd. More than my own, for the record.

I also had the chance to talk with Choice before and after his screening, and that man has so many projects in various stages of production, along with teaching acting classes, I don’t know how he was even able to step away to attend the screening. If Brotherly Love is an example of what he can do though, then I can’t wait to see what he has coming next.

Acting Reel (2011)

Here’s my updated Acting Reel.  Help a brother out and pass it around, REBLOG it and, for god’s sake, hire me for things.  Thanks to my pal Matt Pollock for editing.

Friends, check out his reel. There’s no breast slapper, but I’m pretty sure he could play one on TV.

Caught a performance of Neil Labute’s play The Mercy Seat last night. There are a ton of good reviews so I wont rehash everything that’s already been said. I’ll just quickly gush that the play is amazing. It’s well-written, well-directed, and the actors, Michelle Clunie and Johnny Clark, are fantastic. There are only two performances left, so if you’re looking for something to do tonight or tomorrow afternoon (Easter Sunday), head to the VS Theatre and check it out.
