Anonymous asked: From your experience in music, how hard is it to work with certain musicians? I know that certain musicians like Lady Gaga or Taylor Swift or Beyonce would be extremely difficult to work with, thankfully for myself I am not too interested in working with many musicians whom also have that celebrity status. I would actually really love to work with Incubus, have you worked with them or know anyone who has?

Every situation is different, every person is different. It’s about being able to work on the fly, adjusting to whatever is thrown at you in the most efficient manner possible.

Not every musician with celebrity status is a jerk. Not every small / mid-level musician is a sweetheart. Sucky people are sucky people, regardless of fame level. If you turn down a gig because the artist is well-known and may or may not be a diva, you could be missing out on an amazing experience.

Haven’t worked with Incubus. No idea if any friends have, never asked.

Anonymous asked: I read that you helped produced an episode of Criminal Minds, which just happens to be one of my favourite shows, what was that like? Did you meet the cast, where they nice? What are the major differences between producing something like Criminal Minds vs. The Grammys?

I would like to clarify before answering: I wasn’t a producer on Criminal Minds or The Grammy’s. Don’t want anyone thinking I’m taking false credit. For both, I was a production assistant.

The episode of Criminal Minds I worked on, I fetched coffee and kept people from walking into the shot. Very glamourous stuff, ha. I met one cast member, and he was very polite.

Criminal Minds is a series, The Grammy’s are a one-night show. The major difference would be The Grammy’s are taped live for the East Coast - there’s no second take, like there normally is for a show like Criminal Minds. If something happens (sound’s wrong, someone trips or screws up a line, etc.), everyone will see.

What I’m actually a producer of: an upcoming series and a short film. Movin’ on up!

It’s cute that I think by scheduling a break, it’ll actually happen.
That being said, after tweaking the sides and sending out audition notices, I’m getting real excited to begin the casting sessions for my upcoming series. Hope to see a lot of talent in the room. Actors, show me what you got!

The show I couldn’t say much about last month is premiering next Wednesday, January 11th, at 10pm on Univision! Check out DALE CON GANAS, a heartwarming weight loss show from the executive producers of the Biggest Loser and Emilio Estefan. The four families are wonderful people who you’ll be rooting for from the start. Hosted by Poncho De Anda.

Can’t say much about the current show I’m working on. I’m pretty sure however, I can say I’m going to miss this set and the people on it during our holiday break.

Holiday wrap party tonight!
